Mo's Million Mile Challenge

Follow in the footsteps of our Fitness Ambassador, Sir Mo Farah and help us reach our target of ONE MILLION MILES while raising funds for Youth Sport Trust.  

Simply make a donation each time you visit your local Village Gym between 9th and 19th January. Then swim, cycle, run or take part in a class and record your miles. 

All funds raised go to Youth Sport Trust, a national children's charity passionate about the benefits of fitness for the next generation.  They're working towards a future where every child enjoys the life-changing benefits of play and sport.  Find out more here.

 

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Visit up to three times without the need to join!  Just make a donation on each visit.

Our suggested donation is £3 per visit... though of course, generosity holds no limits!

WEDNESDAY 8TH

Each club kicks off with an Opening Ceremony 6pm. Sir Mo Farah will run the first mile. 

Then it's up to you... take part in a class, tackle a triathlon, enjoy a gym floor challenge or plan your own fitness session with colleagues to add your miles to our total. 

THURSDAY 9TH

  • Take your seats for 24hr group cycling with back-to-back cycle classes
  • There'll be afternoon school games with athletics kit for the kids
  • Take our Hellraiser gym challenge (10 reps of Unweighted Squat, Medicine Ball Slam, Burpees, Kettle Bell Swing and Thruster

FRIDAY 10TH

  • 4 hour Aqua Marathon with back-to-back aqua classes
  • Treat yourself to our Coffee & Cake morning
  • Afternoon School Games
  • Gym Challenge, Row, Row, Down You Go. Grab a buddy. Row 200m as fast as you can while they perform press-ups. At 200m, switch roles... until you hit 2000m on the rower.

SATURDAY 11TH

  • Kids fitness fun including Dodgeball, Limbo Dancing, Kids Olympics, Musical Chairs and Musical Statues.
  • Join a cycle, walking or running group. Hit the outdoors to clock some miles!
  • Take part in our Indoor Triathlon – Cycle, Run and Swim your way through the weekend.

SUNDAY 12TH

  • Kids fun continues with mini Olympics and races.
  • Take part in our outdoor cycling, walking and running groups.
  • Enjoy the Les Mills Showcase... Back-to-back Les Mills classes packed with energy, enthusiasm and fun.

MONDAY 13TH

  • Boot Camp Bonanza... hit our outdoor and indoor bootcamps!
  • Afternoon school games for the kids.
  • Gym Challenge... 'Pair of Plankers'. Hold the plank position with a partner and high five until someone breaks!

TUESDAY 14TH

  • Burn Baby Burn... A day filled with calorie-busting Burn sessions.
  • Afternoon school games for the kids.
  • Gym Challenge... 'Crunch Time'. Weighted Russian Twist, Dead Bug, Slow Cross Mountain Climbers, Bicycle Crunch. 5 sets of 20 reps.

WEDNESDAY 15TH

  • Mo’s MOTION Madness with back-to-back MOTION Classes.
  • Afternoon school games for our mini guests.
  • Gym Challenge... 'Empire State of Mind'. 1576 steps either on a stair climber or a step station. Get a step on!
