Cardio Training

A key component of any exercise programme, cardiovascular training helps you burn calories, improve your heart’s health and boost your metabolism. Each Village Gym is equipped with the latest cardio machines including treadmills, cross trainers, exercise bikes and rowing machines. 

There are many different ways to improve your fitness with our cardio kit, depending on your fitness goal. From high intensity interval workouts, to steady state cardio sessions, there is a cardio workout to suit all fitness levels and abilities, in order to achieve your desired results. Our gym staff are on hand to provide up-to-date training tips and offer guidance on using our machines.

Strength & Resistance Training

Tone up, build muscle, burn fat. No matter what your overall fitness goal is, strength training should be incorporated into your fitness routines to achieve optimal results.

All of our gyms are equipped with the latest strength training equipment, including resistance machines and free weight areas. While resistance machines offer the strength and toning benefits of free weight training with added safety features, free weights allow you to easily tailor your workout depending on your fitness goals.

Functional Training

In addition to helping you lose weight, tone up and build strength and muscle, functional training can help make everyday movements much easier. Using equipment such as a Kettlebell, PowerBag, Bosu Ball and VIPR you can create a functional workout which works all major muscle groups, helping to improve strength, agility and power. You’ll learn how to use these types of functional kit during your gym induction with one of our expert instructors.

Don’t be scared to approach our Functional Rig, available in some clubs – a complete workout station for those serious about functional training. Our friendly gym staff are on hand to answer any questions you have about our functional rigs and show you the best techniques for getting the most out of your workout. If you want to try out the functional rigs in a group environment, check the group fitness class timetable in-club for functional circuits and SYNERGY 360 classes.

Technogym

Equipped with the latest Technogym cardio and resistance equipment, our gyms provide members with the best workout experience possible. With Technogym’s mywellness app available in some gyms, Village Gym members can also receive personalised training routines and motivation from a trainer while working out to their own music.
