Swimtime Swimbabies classes can help your baby to feel fully at ease whilst they get to grips with taking a dip.
Perfect for babies under four, iour baby swimming lessons are a great way to enjoy some bonding time with baby, as well as other members of Village Gym Hull.
Many of our members plan their swimming sessions with other parents for a little social time whilst they swim.
Swimtots classes at Village Gym Hull are great for kids aged 2 to 4. Focussed on learning through play, your toddlers will be introduced to swimming strokes whilst playing games to bring out their confidence.
You’ll be in the water with them too, for plenty of parent/toddler fun!
Children’s classes are available in Hull, based on experience and ability in the water.
From kids getting to grips with wearing armbands, to improver classes for those keen to work on their swimming badges, we even have a master class for kid swimmers who want to push their own boundaries, covering survival and rescue skills.
Of course, swimming lessons aren’t just for the little people. Adult swimming lessons are available at Village Gym Hull, and are a great way to work on your own technique, improve your stroke or incorporate swimming into your overall fitness plan.
Prior to your swimming lessons at Village Gym Hull...
Choose something comfortable to wear. Go for practical, comfortably fitting swimwear rather than trying to go stylish (nobody is judging your swim attire!)
Grab a swimming caps. Ideal for keeping long hair out of your face whilst you're getting used to the water. They also reduce ‘drag’ and so make swimming a bit easier.
Buy a good pair of goggles to help you see under the water. It will help with your technique, help you stay straight in the water and protect your eyes from the chlorine.
Bring a bottle of water with you to keep hydrated. Learning to swim will take it out of you. Take regular sips throughout the lesson.
Pack a small snack such as a banana for straight after your swimming lesson, to replace your energy with something nutritious.
