Prior to your swimming lessons at Village Gym Hull...

Choose something comfortable to wear. Go for practical, comfortably fitting swimwear rather than trying to go stylish (nobody is judging your swim attire!)

Grab a swimming caps. Ideal for keeping long hair out of your face whilst you're getting used to the water. They also reduce ‘drag’ and so make swimming a bit easier.

Buy a good pair of goggles to help you see under the water. It will help with your technique, help you stay straight in the water and protect your eyes from the chlorine.

Bring a bottle of water with you to keep hydrated. Learning to swim will take it out of you. Take regular sips throughout the lesson.

Pack a small snack such as a banana for straight after your swimming lesson, to replace your energy with something nutritious.
