What Happens In A Les Mills Core class?

The Core class in Cheadle, Manchester lasts for 30 minutes. In that time, you'll get to grips with a number of exercises using resistance tubes and weights, plus bodyweight exercises to tone the abs and back.

All of the exercises can be modified to suit your fitness level, and you'll have the expertise and watchful eye of your Village Gym instructor to help you perfect your technique.

There'll be a warm up, a series of core exercises to work the abs and back, then a cool down to finish. 

How many calories does Les Mills Core Class burn?

If you're joining our Cheadle Core class, you'll get out what you put in. 

The harder you work, the more calories you'll burn. Though as a guide, expect to burn around 230 calories during a 30 minute class at Village Gym Cheadle.

Les Mills Core For Over 60's

Whilst the Core class is challenging, it's open to all and has no age limit. 

Whether you're in your twenties or over sixty, our Core class will give you a great core workout at your own pace.

If you find certain Core techniques too difficult or uncomfortable, your instructor will modify them to suit. Feel free to lower the intensity, decrease the number of reps or opt out of using weights if you prefer.

Working on the core muscles can make everyday tasks much easier, such as carrying shopping, reaching into cupboards and bending to pick up the grandchildren! Plus, a stronger core makes for better balance, reducing the risk of falls.
