Celebrity fitness is always ahead of the game, so we’re always keeping a keen eye on the feeds of the fittest celebs for some serious fitspiration and workout goals!

Here’s how some of our fave fit celebs maintain their bods, and how you can get in on the action when you next hit the gym...

Michelle Keegan- HIIT

Juggling a busy filming schedule, actress Michelle Keegan wants her workouts done and dusted in the shortest amount of time, so relies on speedy HIIT workouts to keep her famously toned physique looking on point.

HIIT cardio training burns big calories for hours after your workout, so is great for increasing aerobic fitness and a great choice for those that want to burn fat.

Throw in some high rep strength exercises into your routine and you’ll also work on sculpting and toning your muscles.

Give HIIT a go with our GRIT Strength class by Les Mills.

Zac Efron- Supersetting

In order to get in seriously good shape for his role playing an Olympic swimmer in Baywatch, Zac Efron had no choice but to push his workout routine to new levels. Efron’s trainer incorporated a technique called supersetting into his gruelling strength training regime. Supersetting involves doing two exercises back to back with no rest in between. Not only does this approach save time, it also helps your body burn more calories and enhances the “pump” that drives more nutrition-filled blood into the muscles for fast growth.

Our gym floor is packed with a wide range of cutting-edge resistance kit, with everything you need to emulate Efron’s workouts and chisel your own super hot Baywatch bod!

Kim Kardashian- Weight Training

Kim K loves to lift heavy and reportedly maintains her famous curves by dedicating five gym sessions a week to weight training and one session focussing solely on her core. Having ditched cardio years ago, the voluptuous star preaches a strong not skinny mantra and swears by getting her workouts in early every morning at 5.30am!

Weight lifting is also extremely efficient for fat loss if you’re on a weight loss mission– like HIIT, strength training burns calories during and after a workout as we create after burn effect. As well as this, the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn day to day, as lean muscle mass means optimum calorie burn.

Jennifer Aniston- Yoga

Having made a fashionably late entrance to the world of social media just last year, fabulously fit at 50 F.R.I.E.N.D.S star, Jennifer Anniston is a self proclaimed yoga fanatic. For years Jen has spoken in interviews of her love for holistic fitness and reportedly loves the practice for its ability to build mental and physical strength.

Yoga works a range of different muscle groups to improve your body's flexibility and sculpt a more slender, toned physique. Like Jen you’ll work the abs, back muscles, thighs and hips. All crucial for good posture. It's a great full body workout, and the low intensity movements make it less impactful on the joints.

Rebel Wilson- Circuits

At the start of 2020 she set a goal to get to her healthiest point ever and has used lockdown to do just that! Rebel has shared tonnes of inspiring snaps to her Instagram following of over 9 million, showing her hiking, killing it on her spin bike and even flipping some seriously heavy tyres.

Her fitness trainer has recently shared that Rebel’s love of circuit training is to thank for her awe inspiring weight loss results. This fast-paced form of training get’s the heart pumping, the legs moving and offers a killer full body workout. Circuits are perfect for those looking to add a bit of variety to their fitness regimes!

Regular sessions will increase your strength and aerobic fitness whilst blitzing plenty of calories.

Tom Hardy- Boxing

To bulk up for his role in Venom, Tom Hardy enlisted the help of an MMA fighter to level up his training with some boxing style fitness.
Boxing is an intense, full-body workout that blasts through calories and builds strength at the same time. Like Hardy, many Hollywood actors don’t rely on weight lifting alone to unleash their beast mode when building super human physiques. Boxing and other forms of Martial Arts are a great way to build muscle whilst improving cardiovascular health, to ensure they’re up to the physical demands of filming action packed movie scenes.

Our Boxfit class offers a great cardio workout featuring boxing training techniques, including skipping, boxing drills, footwork and abdominal workouts – all with a strong focus on toning the body. /classes/boxfit/
